HMY Britannia, payed off in December 1997 after 43 years service to the Crown and now lies at Leith as a tourist attraction. 

Although a relatively small ship, she never failed to draw the eye and to make a good impression around the world supporting the Queen and the United Kingdom. 

Hugh Daglish will draw on his 2 years as Commander  of HMY Britannia in a personal reminiscence.  He will describe what a guest at a state banquet onboard would have experienced, the preparations for a state visit, Britannia's other activities, and the reason it all worked so well: the Yacht's Company
